Black Small Business & Entrepreneurship Initiative (BSBEI)
The Black Small Business & Entrepreneurship Initiative (BSBEI) is dedicated to fostering economic independence and generational wealth in Black communities by providing Black entrepreneurs with the resources, capital, mentorship, and policy advocacy needed to start, sustain, and scale their businesses.
Our comprehensive approach addresses the unique challenges faced by Black entrepreneurs, including historical barriers to capital, limited access to networks, and systemic inequities in business opportunities. Through targeted programs and strategic partnerships, we aim to create a thriving ecosystem for Black business growth and success.
Impact Goals (Within 5 Years)
- Assist 10,000+ Black entrepreneurs in accessing capital
- Support the launch and growth of 5,000+ Black-owned businesses
- Create 50,000+ new jobs in Black communities
- Establish partnerships with 100+ major corporations and government agencies
Core Objectives
Increase Access to Capital
Advocate for policies that expand access to grants, low-interest loans, and investment funding for Black-owned businesses.
Mentorship & Networking
Launch a Black Business Mentorship Network to pair new entrepreneurs with experienced business owners and create opportunities for meaningful connections.
Entrepreneurship Education
Provide free or low-cost workshops on financial literacy, business planning, digital marketing, and scaling strategies for Black entrepreneurs.
Strategic Partnerships
Establish partnerships with corporations and government agencies to create opportunities, funding, and policy support for Black-owned businesses.
Increasing Access to Capital
Access to capital remains one of the most significant barriers for Black entrepreneurs. Our initiative addresses this challenge through a multi-faceted approach:
Black Business Fund
- •Establish a dedicated fund providing micro-loans and startup grants
- •Offer flexible terms and lower interest rates than traditional lenders
- •Focus on businesses in underserved communities with high growth potential
Financial Institution Partnerships
- •Partner with community credit unions and Black-owned banks
- •Create favorable lending programs with reduced barriers to qualification
- •Develop loan guarantee programs to reduce risk for lenders
Investment Connections
We connect Black entrepreneurs with investment opportunities through:
- •Quarterly pitch events with venture capital firms and angel investors
- •Partnerships with investment funds focused on minority-owned businesses
- •Investment readiness training and pitch preparation
Policy Advocacy
We advocate for policy changes that improve capital access:
- •Push for expanded SBA loan programs targeting Black entrepreneurs
- •Advocate for tax incentives for investments in Black-owned businesses
- •Work with legislators to address discriminatory lending practices

Black Business Grants & Loan Assistance
A dedicated program helping Black entrepreneurs navigate the funding landscape, including assistance with grant applications, business loan qualifications, and securing investors.
Annual Black Business Expo
A high-impact conference featuring Black-owned businesses, investors, policymakers, and industry leaders, providing networking, funding opportunities, and visibility.
Community Business Incubators
Establish local business incubators offering office space, resources, mentorship, and training to early-stage Black-owned businesses.
Digital Hub & Resource Platform
Develop an online platform where Black entrepreneurs can access funding opportunities, mentorship, educational resources, and networking forums.
